Three-mode Singular Value Decomposition for Three-way Layout with Outer Signal-noise and Inner Orthogonal Array

Abstract

　Consider a three-way layout with orthogonal array, signal factor and noise factor where the numbers of the signal factor and the noise factor are large. The three-mode singular value decomposition model is applied to the three-way observations. In order to estimate the parameters of the model,Tucker’s solution is utilized. The procedure is applied to experimental observations from a solder printing process. As a result, valuable knowledge is obtained.
