Abstract
In this paper, we consider a multi-state k-out-of-n:G system. This system is applicable to the production management problem of multi production lines for a certain product, and the problem of a mining operation for a shovel-truck system. In this paper, we provide a recursive algorithm which evaluates the system state distribution of the multi-state k-out-of-n:G systems. We obtain the order of computing time and memory capacity of our proposed algorithm. Numerical experiments result in the efficiency of our proposed algorithm especially when n is large.
