Abstract

The purpose of this research is to evaluate the tour in a declining local shopping district from the viewpoint of sustainability and to verify its effect. The target area was Ehime Prefecture Uchikocho, and as comparative examples Nanao City, Ishikawa Prefecture, Toba City Mie Prefecture, Freiburg City Germany. As a result of evaluation based on its own evaluation criteria based on the GSTC standards, issues on the economic side and society were clarified. We planned and implemented a shopping district tour aimed at overcoming that problem, and analyzed the customer attraction effect of shopping district tour for nationwide monitors by web questionnaire. As a result, it became clear that we can expect the effect of overcoming the weakness in Uchiko town which was clarified from the analysis, and it is possible to expect a certain attracting customer effect.
