Abstract
The discharged patients with cerebrovascular accidents were analyzed regarding to their state of dependency in activities of daily living (ADL) at home, 182 cases (male 120, female 62) were taken for the subject.
The results of this study were as follows :
1) 58 patients were revealed to be dependent in ADL at home with families help.
2) 9 patients who were in dependent in ambulation were dependent in self-care activities.
3) In ADL independent group, 98% of patients had reached more than stage IV in their leg recovery stage.
4) Various types of cortical abnormalities were observed in 76% of patients who were dependent in self-care activities. Unilateral Spatial Agnosia (USA), constructional apraxia, loss of motivation and dementia were often the mixed findings
5) Remodelling of toilet and bathroom was mostly found in their home facilities.
