Abstract
A 52-year-old woman implanted with AAI-mode pacemaker for bradycardia at another hospital ten years before was seen at the hospital. With pacemaker implantation her bradycardia alleviated, but sometimes she had been suffering from dizziness. Electrocardiogram showed a good atrial pacing and Holter electrocardiogram also indicated no pacing failure. A chest X-ray film taken three months after her first visit revealed a dislocation of endocardial electrode without pacing failure. Reimplantation of a new endocardial electrode was done, and she has not been suffering from dizziness afterward.
This case is rare in that the electrode did not adhere to the endocardium and repeated dislocation for more than 10 years, but any lethal complications were not accompanied by such situation.
