Abstract
Duplication of the alimentary tract can be found in entire the alimentary tract, but the ileocecal region is the most common site. Duplication of the stomach is a relatively rare disease and represents 6.6% of all duplications of the alimentary tract. A 2-month old female was seen in hospital because of recurrent vomiting and an abdominal tumor. The patient was operated on for a mesenteric cyst or duplication of the alimentary tract on preoperative diagnosis. The black fist-size tumor was found locating under the liver and histological findings of the wall revealed muscle layer and gastric proper glands. Generally duplications of the stomach are located in the major curvature of the stomach and almost them are bulbar and non-separated type. As the separated type of gastric duplication located under the liver like this case is very rare, this with the reported cases in the Japanese literature are described.
