Abstract
A 56-year-old man was referred to our hospital because of joundice. Computed tomography (CT) and ultrasonography (US) revealed a 5-cm tumor in the hepatic hilum and dilatation of the intrahepatic bile ducts. Percutaneous transhepatic biliary drainage (PTBD) tubes were insertedin right and left hepatic ducts, and cholangiography demonstrated complete obstruction of both right and left hepatic ducts by the tumor. He was sero-negative for viral hepatitis marker. A extended right hepatic lobectomy was perfomed with a diagnosis of cholangiocellular carcinoma of the hepatic hilum. The pathological examination of the specimen revealed non-Hodgikin lymphoma (diffuse large B cell type). We present here a case of successfully resected primary malignant lymphoma of the liver together with a review of the literatures.
