An Adult Case of Alveolar Rhabdmyosarcoma with Diffuse Bone Marrow Involvement

Abstract

A case of alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma of a 38-year-old male is described. The initial synptoms were nasal bleeding, leukoerythroblastosis, and complete marrow replacement, which suggested bone marrow involvement of non-homopoietic malignancy. The diagnosis was achieved by biopsy of nasal mucosa and confirmed by ultrastructural findings of cross-striations.
