Report about the damage of river levees by the Great East Japan Earthquake

Abstract

By the Great East Japan Earthquake, river levees more than 2000 received damage in the wide area of the Kanto district from the Tohoku district.

For the examination of prioritization and method of future earthquake-resistant ,we analyzed suffering factors and forms about levees damages in rivers which Kanto Resional Development Bureau manages.

In addition, we compared these suffering points of the Great Kanto Earthquake of 1923. As a result, we understood that a suffering point almost accorded.
