Abstract

It is important for the sustainable use of groundwater resource to understand the mechanism of groundwater recharge during the extremely shortage water. In this paper, the groundwater recharge rate from Ibi river on an alluvial fan in the Nobi basin was evaluated based on the measurement of the river discharge changes on the fan. It was recognized that the groundwater recharge was in the range of about 10% to 50% of the river discharge. Furthermore, it was suggested that the groundwater recharge was be able to estimate by a multiple linear regression equation using the observation data of the river water level and the groundwater level.
