Abstract
Article 34 of Public Records and Archives Management Act stipulated that, every municipal government shall endeavor to enact and implement necessary regulations to assure appropriate means to manage, in accordance with the law, records and archives of its possession. After this law was fully implemented on April 1, 2011, every municipal government is obliged to fulfill the obligations under this article. The Workshop was organized by relevant associations and individuals both from private and public sectors to study what a local government Public Records and Archives Management ordinance should be. They discussed important issues to be considered, developed individual articles, and model ordinances those local governments can refer to.
