There is scarce knowledge about changes that occur with age in the work style of members of Silver Human Resources Centers (SHRCs). This is because previous studies only employed cross-sectional methods. This study had 1,710 participants (aged 65 or 66 years in 2006, 1,094 men and 616 women) who belonged to 64 SHRCs and were selected from across Japan in 2006. We examined their work style in 2011 and 2016 to investigate changes that occurred over 10 years. The changes in work style over the three data points were analyzed, along with an assessment of annual earnings and types of work. It was found that their annual earnings tended to decrease with age for both genders. This was especially true for the 2016 data, when the participants were 75 or above. With regard to types of work, the number of participants who had abandoned the work they were once in charge of significantly increased at the age of 75 or above ; however, few participants shifted to other types of work. Moreover, even at the old-old age, participants continued working in the same types of work as before.
