It has been known that cement stabilizers cause the cohesive deterioration of slurry for slurry shield in the excavation of cement stabilized ground. So the research on the efficient regeneration method of deteriorated slurry has been longed from a viewpoint of discharged sludge reduction.
The basic experiments have been carried out regarding the deterioration and regenerarion of seawater slurry in which cement stabilizers and dispersants are added.
As a result, the following points have been clarified.
1. Seawater slurry can be used for slurry shield within a certain extent of clay concentration in the slurry.
2. The slurry deterioration occurs depending on the cement quantity that is mixed in the slurry in excavation of ordinary stabilized ground.
3. Lignosulfonate dispersant is the most effective and economical to regenerate the deteriorated slurry.
