As a new method of scalp acupuncture therapy, the author gave treatments for headache, sleeplessness, and neurosis on Ryodo-points in the region of occipital nape.
Kan-Kotsu (_??__??_ ), Fu-Chi (_??__??_ ), An-Min 1, 2 (_??__??_ 1, 2), A-Mon (_??__??_ ) Fu-Fu (_??__??_ ), Ten-Chu (_??__??_ ) are regarded as important reactive electric permiable points in this region.
In addition to the above these points, the author gave D. C. acupuncture treatment with a sparrow pecking needling technique and low frequency electric acupuncture treatment to stomach area, throat area in the frontal hairline part and motor area in the frontal part.
Acupuncture treatment to the both of hemispheres in the lower part of motor area with changing the anode and the cathode on alternate days showed good effects on sleeplessness, neurosis and headache. These were in premotor area (Area 6) and called psychomotor area autonomic system. Regarding Ryodo-points in occipital nape part, we have Magoun's theory, but it seems to the author that there is a close connection with “Locus Coeruleus” of pons and medulla oblongata and it is significant to regulate the function of “Locus Coeruleus”.
