Abstract
This paper presents a selection method on the standard type of steel framed Sabo structure with filled materials. At first, the typical three types, i. e. truss type, semi-truss type and rahmen type have been designed by using the fully stress optimal design method. Herein, the interaction between frame and filled materials is considered in the optimal design method. Then, the required steel quantities of three types of Sabo structure are compared each other and the effects of stress ratio between axial force and bending moment are examined. Finally, the truss type structure has been selected as the standard type of Sabo structure from the economical and rational points of view.
