Abstract

A new analytical method has been developped for the determination of pesticide in the citrus fruit and the marmalaid by gas chromatography with atomic emission detector, which has high selectivity for each elements, The mally kinds of postharvest pesticides have been used into the impQrted foods from foreign countrles.Imazalil is a post harvest fungicide containing chlorin, which has high carcinogenic activity and residual property. This analytical method showed sufficient sensitivity, selectivity and accuracy to be applied to imazalil in food samples. In this research, imazalil in ll samples of citrus fruits, such as orange,lemon,grapefmit,and16samples of marmalaids were measured,Concentrations of imazalil in fruits and marmalaidswere from O.02 to O.71 ppm.
