Abstract

Clinic of Obstetrics and Gynecology Nagahama Shimin Hospital, Shiga Pref.Miconazovl aginals uppositorya, broad-spectruma ntimycotica gent (containing1 00m g of Miconazol in each) was givent o 50 patientsw ith vaginalC andidiasisF. ifteens uppositoriews ere given by q. d. and none of further medicationw as accompanieds uch as ointmento r cream on the skin of the externalg enitalia.
The effectivityo f Miconazolw as evaluatedb y the improvemento f clinical symptomsi n addition to the disappearanceo f candida in vaginal discharget hrough its culture.
94% of the cases were evaluated to be effective. Reappearance of vaginal candida was found only 1 case (2.1%) after 2 months check up among the cases of complete recovery.
