Abstract

With the earlier and more accurate diagnosis of ectopic pregnancy based on the use of laparoscopy in addition to sensitive pregnancy tests and ultrasound sonography, the percentage of diagnosed unruptured ectopic pregnancies is rapidly increasing. This enabled us the conservative surgical management of ectopic pregnancy. In the present study, we reported two cases of ectopic pregnancies in which the laparoscopy was employed to confirm the diagnosis. One of the patients was managed by the microsurgical techniques and the postoperative hysterosalpingography showed the patency of the tube that was operated upon. The microsurgical technique following the laparoscopic diagnosis is therefore recommended in the unruptured ectopic pregnancies in order to preserve reproductive function.
