The procedures have been developed for an atomic absorption spectrophotometric determination of lead in cosmetics. Aluminium powder, pigments of aluminium compound, BiOCl and some iron oxides are offered problems to in dithizone test, and the developed procedures for these materials are described. Faster determinations of trace amount of lead in cosmetics such as lipstick containing BiOCl and spray products are studied. The official dithizone method can be replaced almost by those procedures which are faster and simpler.
