The Red Book is a large, illuminated volume that was created by Carl Gustav Jung between 1913 and 1930. While Jung considered it to be his most important work and called it his “confrontation with the unconscious,” it was the most influential unpublished work in the history of psychology. Eventually, a complete facsimile and translation was published in 2009. As a result, the tendency to reinterpret Jung is on the rise in the academic world, especially in relation to Schelling’s unconscious. Many artists and art directors today tend to rush into the expression of the unconscious in the art world.
