The thinking of modern US philosopher Graham Harman, the main proponent of object-oriented ontology, was published in The Quadruple Object, and some papers referring to Harman have been published with his thinking gradually introduced in Japan as well. However, Harman’s philosophy is still not well understood, and thus, the potential of his thinking cannot be perceived productively. This paper clarifies the core of Harman’s concerns and investigates that structure from the perspective of trichotomy.
