Abstract
Process of model building with SD (System Dynamics) approach starts to understand target first, and then clear that understand as image by model builder. This unexplicit image called mental model. Next, describe that mental model with causal loop diagram and/or stock flow diagram as explicit model. For building SD model, firstly, it required understanding the target stand with SD viewpoints such as target composed with system, and instructor teach such view to attendants of modeling project first. Secondly, required knowledge of basic model structure, that is first order system, pipeline structure and intervention structure, as my understanding. It would be useful if there is standard form(s) of model and could apply to target. For this purpose, I keep studying and searching such standard form of SD model. As my conclusion of the study, widely known and thus widely adapted models created by authorities such as Forrester and Sterman, and mentioned on their SD textbook, becomes such standard form of SD model. Added more, such standard model composing necessary established view and way of understanding that leads to realize SD model. Those established view and way of understanding as well as applicable standard form of model makes leading easier to building SD model. It is true in fields of widely SD is applied, such as management and environment area. However, it is not true in the fields of world literature or history, where people do not try to applied SD for reason of minority study area. Thus, there is not much case studies and not yet established standard pattern of SD model, including standard approach on way of understanding target, flamework or pattern as tool for help to understand target. Under these situation, this paper shows my experiences of apply SD for modeling to issue of world literature and history.
