Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to search for regional industries which have been increasing local employment and will contribute to revitalization of local economies in Japan. To do this, I estimate (1) how many jobs “base industries” such as manufacturing, information and communications, and scientific research, professional and technical services created in non-basic industries, and (2) “local multipliers” by each industry, using some tools of spatial econometrics.
