AWPP 2006 報告-AWPP による国際化活動

抄録

International activities of JSPP are growing year by year. Among these activities, AWPP is the most important event for the society. The roles of AWPP are 1) increase of recognition of JSPP among the international academic field by sponsoring the workshop on polymer processing, 2) introduce the most recent technical advancements by the fore-front leader of each new technologies in Japan for the stimulation of researchers in Asian countries, 3) give the chance of presentation for young researchers at international conference and 4) strengthen human bondage among researchers of Asian countries through face to face discussions and social activities. Three days workshop of the 5^th AWPP was held at Bangkok, Thailand in December 2006 by the co-sponsorship of JSPP, MTEC and Polymer Society(Thailand).Thiswasthe 2^nd AWPP that was conducted in Bangkok followed by successful one in 2001 at Chulalongkorn University.The workshop was in great success. More than 200 participants were attended and from Japan 50 consisting of many of prominent professors and researchers from industries were actively visited Bangkok.I hope the sustainable expansion of AWPP activities will continue by reviewing and improving the style and nature of workshop in resonance with contemporary social needs for plastic industries and characteristics of each countries we may visit in the future.
