Halal cluster in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, China

Abstract

　Nowadays, with the increase of Muslim global population, the market scale of Halal is also expanding. There are approximately 23 million Muslim peoples in China where halal industry cluster has been formed in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. The Ningxia Halal Food International Trade Certification Center has also been established, which aims to improve international competitiveness of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. In this study, the development of halal industry of this region will be indicated by investigating locations and business types of halal related companies in Ningxia.
