Consideration to Functionality of Exclusive eBook Readers

Abstract

　The market of the dedicated e-book readers is pressed by the becoming multifunctional and performance improvement and price reduction of personal digital Assistants as the smart phone, tablet and laptop computer in recent years, and it is predicted to downward trend will also continue from now.

　In this study the various functions of the dedicated e-book readers that is being marketed will be investigated based on the above state, and the functional design which pursues conventional paper-like is inspected. More evolution of the multi-personal digital Assistant of multiple functions by future's progress of IOT (Internet of Things) technology and AI (Artificial Intelligence) technology are foreseen to the directionality of function development of the dedicated e-book readers in the becoming highly information-oriented age which needs to be discussed.
