There are many studies and practices in IT utilization and production management in the industrial field, and those are also the source of Japan’s competitiveness. However, the agricultural sector in Japan is still developing. In this research, the problems in the agricultural field were sorted out, and the applicability of the production management by utilizing the IT cultivated in the industrial field was examined. We conclude that industrial production management applications in smart agriculture are well worth the challenge.
