In this research, we focus on business and human resources related to robot system integrator (hereinafter referred to as “robot SIer”) and investigate the characteristics of knowledge and technology required for robot SIer. Then, the way to develop human resources is discussed for continuous management of robot SIer companies. We interview several companies in order to solve the problem, and analyze the following issues: the characteristics of the companies, the problems occurred with introducing robots, and the education method of SIer. From the result of the interview, we show the knowledge and techniques required for robot SIer. And we propose efficient education method of human resource based on the combination of knowledge base and practice based. At the same time, we show that the proposed educational method is necessary for the education of robot SIer by comparing it with the methods in the current universities and technical high schools.
