Abstract
Rapid diffusion of Internet leads paradigmatic changes in every sector of today's economy. One of the most affected business activities is market transaction. The new areas of Internet application includes stock exchange, education, contents, industrial parts and material supply, and MRO (maintenance, reparement, and operation) supply markets. The structures of these markets are experiencing rapid transformations. Various new Internet-based business models have been attempted in these sectors. The rapid changes also present many challenges along with opportunities, which business and government should work hard to overcome. The recent developments, current states, and future challenges of electronic commerce in Korea will be discussed reported in this paper.
