Abstract

The locally-coupled approach based on continuum damage mechanics and the finite element method has been applied to the thermal fatigue life evaluation of the vibration metal bonding. The analyzed metal bonding is composed of the copper bar and the aluminum base plate. It is experimentally known that the thermal fatigue fracture takes place in the aluminum. The part 2 describes the fatigue life evaluation of the metal bonding. [This abstract is not included in the PDF]
