Abstract
In recent years, production of light olefins, especially propylene, from bio-ethanol which is a non-petroleum resource has attracted much attention from viewpoints of depletion of oil and environment concern. ZSM-5 type zeolite is known to exhibit an excellent performance in this reaction. However, there are only few reports concerning the cataltyic performance of zeolites other than ZSM-5 type zeolite. In this study, we investigated the ethanol conversion performance of TON type zeolite having 10 membered rings and only straight channels.
