Abstract
The late-transition metal complex pre-catalysts have drawn many attentions in past two decades, however, most scientists have paid attentions with extensive publications in the academic consideration. Pondering over our cumulated results and information from other publications, the novelty of polyethylenes produced by the late-transition metal complex pre-catalysts could be easily recognized, and these polyethylenes could be considered as either advanced or functional polyolefins. It is no doubt of easy synthesis and better stability of late-transition metal complexes, the pilot plants or industrial processes would be not difficult. In current discussion, the fact-to-fact results would be reported regarding to designing highly active species of late-transition metal complex pre-catalysts in ethylene reactivity. The micro-structures of obtained polyethylenes will be present with the information of their molecular weights and polydispersity. Any critical comments on the potential applications of obtained polyethylenes and our pre-catalysts would be expected from attendant colleagues.
