Gasoline analysis using alternate carrirer gas

Abstract

The increased pricing and delay or disruption of helium is a rising concern for GC users. There is a need to be able to use alternate gases like hydrogen or nitrogen, while still obtaining comparable results  as with helium. Here we converted a gasoline analysis method originally optimized for use with helium for use with hydrogen, and confirmed that there was no performance difference affecting the analysis results
