Abstract
When syngas was fed onto Co/SiO2 catalyst, methane was predominatly formed, whereas, upon contacting gas mixture of syngas and ethene, considerable amount of C3 and C4 were formed in the reaction. In addition liquefied hydrocarbons like C5+ was also recognized in FT reaction with cofeeding ethene. A 1:1 mixture of 13C2-C2H4 and C2H4 was contacted onto the catalyst, 13C1-C2H4 by metathesis was not detected at all.
