Abstract
Removal of nitrogen compounds contained in bio-oil
produced by flash pyrolysis of jatropha residue was examined. Acidic adsorbent
was effective for removing nitrogen compounds. The treated bio-oil was mixed
with straight-run diesel fuel and influence of nitrogen compounds removal on
hydrodesulfurization of the mixture was investigate. The product consisted of mixture
of paraffin and catalytic activity depended on nitrogen content.
