Abstract
Authors have developed a paper model CAD system by the theory of developable surfaces. By using the system, a 3-D shape after sewing can be predicted. If a space curve that means a sewn curve and a planar curve that means a piece to be sewn are given, a feasible region where the sewn surface does not intersect itself is shown. When the feasible region is very narrow, the piece is too rigid to be sewn. The information will contribute to making proper clothing. The system will be useful to design a brassiere.
