抄録
The corrosion rates of various metallic and nonmetallic materials dipped in the condensed phosphoric acid (CPA) which contains 72 or 85% of P2O5 were observed in the range of temperature from 50°C to 300°C by the methods described in the previous paper.
The results obtained are as follows.
1) The corrosion rate of Illium R (Ni-base alloy) is larger than those of Hastelloy B and C.
2) The corrosion rate of Hastelloy B polarized anodically is very small but larger compared with that of Ta.
3) The unticorrosivity of glass can be improved by increasing SiO2-B2O3 and decreasing alkaline in its components.
4) The impervious graphite and polyfluoroethylene resin are sufficiently unticorrose below their allowable temperature.
According to the results in the present and previous papers, Ta is the most unticorrosive material dipped in CPA below the temperature of 200°.
