Abstract
Ordinarily, cast iron used as industrial material is alloyed with Cr and Ni or coated by metaricon of aluminum because of it has poor heat resistance and poor corrosion resistance. But to-day Cr and Ni are wanted in Japan. We think, aluminum coating by dipping of cast iron is more significant and simple than metaricon. But its corrosion test has hardly been made, therefore we made the test by acids and alkalis. Results obtained;
1. Dipping temp of about 900°C is good.
2. In corrosion test the dipped piece is more satisfactory than a cast iron piece in solution, gas and salt bath.
3. H2SO4 is unfavourable agent against the dipped piece.
