Effect of plating agents on zinc removal from zinc chloride solutions by coagulation with sodium hydroxide was studied. EDTA disodium salt, sodium citrate, potassium sodium tertrate and sodium phosphite, tribasic exert large influence on the zinc removal. In the presense of 20-200mg/L these agents, it is difficult to remove zinc from the solutions (200mg/L as Zn). The residual zinc concentration after the treatment of the solutions containing dispersing agents decreases with increasing initial concentration of zinc (100-300mg/L as Zn), while that of the solutions containing chelating agents does not decrease.
