Abstract
Reducing energy consumption of the hot water supply system plays an important role in considering energy conservation in hospitals, residential buildings and hotels. Setting water temperature in buildings is important to evaluate an energy conservation plan for the hot water supply system. In this paper, we have developed prediction method of water temperatures from a river to some purification plants in Tokyo and that of water temperature from some purification plants to distribution pipes. We further compared the predicted temperatures with actual temperatures of water in purification plants and tested the validity of the prediction methods and found out annual absolute error to be within about 1.0 degree C between calculated and actual water temperatures.
