Abstract
There occurred earthquakes in May and in July in 2003 in Tohoku District. The first one was a large-sized earthquake due to oceanic plates and the later was a middle-sized one directly above its epicenter. Their occurrence mechanism of the two earthquakes is quite different. The investigation and the verification were conducted to find how damages caused by the two different types of earthquake would affect the installations of the buildings.
