Abstract
To clarify the real conditions of utilizing the floor heating, the questionnaire survey was conducted for the residents in residential houses equipped with the floor heating system in Tokai area. As a result, most of floor heating system is installed on living/dining rooms. Family members are used to together in the living room with the floor heating, the convectional heating facilities were chiefly used as supplemental heating together with the floor heating. About 90% of the residents were satisfied with the thermal environment of the room heated by the hot water floor heating system. Dissatisfied rate to increase up to 20% when the rate of area covered with the floor heating installation to overall floor area fell below 60%.
