Abstract
The connecting holes arrangement and inflow velocity at connecting hole have great effects on mixing behavior in thermal energy storage tank of multi-connected mixing type. In this report, outline of experiment and results for the thermal storage tank of multi-connected mixing type are presented. It was found that horizontal temperature distribution in each tank is approximately uniform regardless of connecting holes arrangement and input conditions, and tank water is well mixed under the condition in which the connecting holes are set in alternately lower and upper part of partition wall, as compared to the other connecting holes arrangement.
