Abstract
An air distribution system using a hole-punching aluminum ceiling was studied to apply to the office buildings. The method to distribute air from the air-conditioning system into the plenum chamber using a cylindrical porous duct was proposed, and the details for valid design were studied using the CFD technique and the simple experiments. As the result, the difference of surface temperature in the ceiling was less than 3 degrees in centigrade. We found it possible to obtain a uniform thermal condition in the room using the proposed system.
