Abstract
This study expands on the residential energy survey of three metropolitan areas by examining residential energy consumption. Average residential energy consumption is 69 GJ/household/year, a figure that is smaller than what appears in existing literature. This is due to the fact that this study focuses on metropolitan areas, where the percentage of apartments is higher than average. Energy consumption differs according to household and lifestyle.
