Abstract
The aim of this research is to propose a model for predicting body temperatures (both core and mean skin temperature) and sweating rate. The predicted mean skin temperature will be used as an index for evaluating humid hot environment, and for protecting people working and exercising from a physiological disorder caused by heat. In this paper, we have analyzed heart rate as a stress factor of hot environment, and examined relationship between heart rate and skin temperature and metabolism using existing data. An equation on heart rate which is expressed as a function of skin temperature and metabolism, proved to give good prediction.
