Abstract
This study aimed at investigating the behavior of airborne bacteria and aerosol when using a hand-dryer. The airborne bacteria and aerosol were measured at upper and side of the hand-dryer, and the settled bacteria were measured on the floor near the hand-dryer. The results showed that using the hand-dryer generated water droplets from the hands. Airborne bacteria upper the hand-dryer and settled bacteria on the floor mainly derived from indoor airborne bacteria, not from hands.
