Abstract
In order to evaluate the chemical substance removal performance of a ventilation system correctly, it is important to establish a performance evaluation method. The purpose of the present study is to evaluate the removal performance of chemical substances on a ventilation system using two evaluation methods and to compare them. We experimentaly tested the ventilation system with air cleaning units, it turned out that the clean air delivery rates (CADR) of formaldehyde ranged from 29.0 to 31.4 [m^3/h] during initial operations. The correspondence rates between CADR derived from a one-pass method and that derived from a constant-emission method were 92.4 percent for formaldehyde.
