Abstract
Medical workers use standard precautions to prevent infection. But standard precautions can't prevent airborne infections. We developed an airborne infection control system for a new consultation room. Clean air which was supplied from the ceiling over the medical worker formed unidirectional airflow. Patient's droplet nuclei were exhausted by the airflow. Patient's droplet was shut by a screen. We used 0.5μm dust as alternative droplet nuclei. The concentrations of 0.5μm dust were reduced less than 1/20 by the airflow and the screen. Our infection control system for new consultation room can reduce the risk of airborne infection.
