Abstract
Solar DHW heating system is expected to reduce the energy consumption of the domestic hot water heating. In this study, the position of the mixing valve to control the flow rate from the solar hot water tank was discussed. This simulation was carried out for three cases. In Casel, the mixing valve is place after the boiler. In Case2, the boiler inlet temperature is controlled at 30 ℃ in all day. In Case3, the temperature is controlled at 30 ℃ or 45 ℃ depending on the boiler set point temperature. As a result, it was found that the difference in the boiler heating load between Case1 and Case2 was large. However, the difference between casel and Case3 was very small.
